SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Steven G. Thomas of Richmond, who passed 
4away on August 11, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Steven Thomas was born on May 17, 1990 in 
6Woodstock; his parents were Theodore and Becky Thomas; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Steven Thomas graduated from Richmond-Burton High 
8School in 2008 and participated in football and weightlifting; 
9and
 
10    WHEREAS, Steven Thomas worked as a farmer for Giles Farms 
11in Harvard; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Steven Thomas was a former Cub Scout and loved 
13bowling, tractor pulls, and county fairs; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Steven Thomas was preceded by his grandparents, 
15Walter and Kay Thomas and Richard and Leona McFarlin; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Steven Thomas is survived by his parents; his 
17sister, Samantha Thomas; his nephew, Mason Cruz; and many 
18aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Steven G. Thomas; and 
4be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Steven Thomas as an expression of 
7our sympathy.
