SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Wayne L. Webb of McHenry, who passed away 
4on August 11, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Wayne Webb was born in Elmira, New York to Ruth 
6and Harry Webb on February 26, 1936; he earned a baseball 
7scholarship to the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, 
8graduating in 1958; he received a master's degree in 
9administration from Northern Illinois University; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Wayne Webb taught multiple subjects for 36 years 
11in Elgin School District U-46; he started the Building Trades 
12program and influenced countless individuals through his 
13passion for teaching and his love of coaching basketball and 
14football; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Wayne Webb considered himself a very fortunate 
16man, marrying the love of his life, teaching in the public 
17schools, coaching, traveling the world, and building 30 
18residential homes, mostly in the Elgin area; and
  
 
  
19    WHEREAS, Wayne Webb is survived by his wife of 57 years, 
20Patricia A. Webb; his children, Christi Pleasant, Kurt (Arlyn) 
21Webb, and Terry (Shay) Brill; nine grandchildren; and one

1great-grandchild; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Wayne L. Webb, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to  the family of  Wayne Webb as an expression of our 
9deepest sympathy.
