SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Mary Puzey, who passed away on August 20,
42016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mary Puzey was born on March 25, 1925 in Jamaica;
6her parents were George B. and Rosa Alice Hart Darr; she
7married Lloyd W. Puzey on November 27, 1944 in Watsonville,
8California; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Mary Puzey was an active member of Saint Mary's
10Catholic Church in Westville and the Rosary and Altar Society;
11she helped with funeral dinners and was active in the church's
12Labor Day festivities; she was also a member of the Jamaica
13School PTA; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Mary Puzey enjoyed hosting traditional Sunday
15dinners for her family; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Mary Puzey was preceded in death by her husband,
17Lloyd; her son-in-law, Tom Zeigler; her brothers and their
18wives, Charles (Mary Elizabeth) Darr and Paul (Margaret) Darr;
19and her sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Ralph Diel; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Mary Puzey is survived by her sons, Harold W.

1(Janet) Puzey and Alan L. (Susan) Puzey; her daughters, Annette
2Zeigler, Carol J. (David) Harden, Elaine M. (Pat)
3O'Shaughnessy, and Lisa J. (Tim) Bueter; her brothers, Dane
4(Mary Lou) Darr and David (Evelyn) Darr; 17 grandchildren; and
513 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
8family and friends, mourn the passing of Mary Puzey; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Mary Puzey as an expression of our
12sympathy.
