SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Gene H. Schroeder of Hampton, who passed 
4away on September 6, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Gene Schroeder was born in Davenport to Harold and 
6Bernice Schreck Schroeder on May 6, 1938; he served in the 
7United States Navy and married Kathy Marineau in East Moline on 
8April 19, 1975; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Gene Schroeder was the golf pro at Golfmohr Golf 
10Course in  Hampton, and the former Mill Creek (Pinnacle) Golf 
11Course in Milan; he also worked as a food broker for Calkins & 
12Co. in Davenport, Iowa and Premier Pesses Marketing in 
13Davenport; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Gene Schroeder loved hunting, fishing, and 
15bowling; his passion was golf, and he had 10 holes-in-one over 
16his life; he also bowled a 300 game; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Gene Schroeder was preceded in death by his 
18parents; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Gene Schroeder is survived by his wife, Kathy; his 
20sons, Scott Schroeder, and Justin (Leesa) Schroeder; his

1grandsons, Daniel Schroeder, and Ryne Schroeder; his sister, 
2Sue Tobin; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Gene H. Schroeder, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to  the family of  Gene Schroeder as an expression of 
10our deepest sympathy.
