| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Daisy K. Woodard of Danville, who passed |
| 4 | | away on August 26, 2016; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Daisy Woodard was born on January 19, 1926 in |
| 6 | | Danville; her parents were Oscar and Mildred Owens Kinney; she |
| 7 | | married Wilford R. Woodard on March 16, 1944 in Covington, |
| 8 | | Indiana; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Daisy Woodard served as a Danville Township |
| 10 | | Trustee for over 20 years; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Daisy Woodard was a member of the Westside Church |
| 12 | | of the Nazarene; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Daisy Woodard enjoyed reading, politics, and |
| 14 | | spending time with her grandkids, great-grandkids, and their |
| 15 | | families; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Daisy Woodard was preceded in death by her |
| 17 | | husband, Wilford; three brothers; two sisters; and her |
| 18 | | son-in-law, James Creason; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Daisy Woodard is survived by her sons, Gene |

| 18 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
| 19 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her |
| 20 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Daisy K. Woodard; and |
| 21 | | be it further
|
| 22 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 23 | | presented to the family of Daisy Woodard as an expression of |
| 24 | | our sympathy.
