SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  the Honorable Morgan M. Finley of Indian 
4Head Park, who passed away at the age of 91; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Morgan Finley served in the United States Navy 
6during World War II; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Morgan Finley served as an Illinois State Senator 
8from 1958 to 1964; he also served as Chairman of the Chicago 
9Zoning Board of Appeals, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook 
10County, an Illinois State Central Committeeman, a Lyons 
11Township Democratic Committeeman, and President of the Irish 
12Fellowship Club of Chicago; and

  
 
13    WHEREAS, Morgan Finley was raised by his beloved "Nany" 
14along with his late siblings, Dennis, Edward, and Julia; he was 
15the beloved husband of Judith M. and the late Betty Jane 
16Finley; the devoted father of Patrick Finley, Matthew (Tara) 
17Farmer, and the late James Finley; the cherished grandfather of 
18Johnathan (Laura) Finley and Jack, Alexa, and Dylan Farmer; the 
19fond uncle and cousin of many; and the very dear friend of Kim 
20Abbatoy; therefore, be it
  
 
21    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
2family and friends, mourn the passing of the Honorable Morgan 
3M. Finley; and be it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to the family of Morgan Finley as an expression of 
6our sympathy.
