SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Roberta Ingram Hughery, who passed away 
4on September 14, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Roberta Hughery was born on February 17, 1937 in 
6Memphis, Tennessee; her parents were William H. and Bettie Beal 
7Ingram; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Roberta Hughery worked for the Edna B. Conklin 
9Home and the New York Times for many years until her 
10retirement; she also enjoyed being a housewife and a wife to 
11her loving husband; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Roberta Hughery was preceded in death by her 
13husband of 47 years, Eddie Hughery; her parents; her son, Eddie 
14Dwayne Hughery; and her brother, William W. Ingram; and

  
 
15    WHEREAS, Roberta Hughery is survived by her daughters, 
16Diane Hudson and Sandra and Nicole Hughery; her brothers, 
17Thomas James Ingram and Eddie Lee Baal; her sisters-in-law, 
18Gladys Ingram and Minnie Tyus; her brothers-in-law, Wonderful 
19(JT) Hughery, Willie James, and Sufford Hughery; her 
20son-in-law, Dennis Hudson; her granddaughter, Devon Hudson 
21Darling; her great-grandchildren, Briana and Jaylen Darling;

1and her adopted sons, Ricky Hyman and Johnnie Roach; therefore, 
2be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
5family and friends, mourn the passing of Roberta Ingram 
6Hughery; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Roberta Hughery as an expression of 
9our sympathy.
