SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Kenneth Allen Whitney, who passed away at 
4the age of 59; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Kenneth Whitney was born on August 7, 1957 in 
6Chicago; his parents were Gloria and Clifton Collins; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Kenneth Whitney attended Amos A. Stagg Elementary 
8School and Calumet High School; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Kenneth Whitney enjoyed music, particularly the 
10Commodores and Earth, Wind, and Fire; he enjoyed watching the 
11Chicago Bears and spending time with his grandchildren; he was 
12also known as a jack of all trades who was talented with home 
13repairs, plumbing, and painting; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Kenneth Whitney was preceded in death by his 
15parents and his nephew, Michael; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Kenneth Whitney is survived by his children, 
17DeAngelo and Charlotta; his sisters, Karen and Dianna; his 
18grandchildren, Dimante, Diamond, Devonte, Derrick, Avonte, 
19Alexis, Ceonte, Kiarri, and Kenya; his nephew, Tyresius; his 
20nieces, Angela and Joyce; many cousins, other family members,

1and friends; and his special friend, Diane; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
4family and friends, mourn the passing of Kenneth Allen Whitney; 
5and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Kenneth Whitney as an expression of 
8our sympathy.
