SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Richard "Dick" D. Forney of Silvis, who 
4passed away on September 21, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Forney was born on March 12, 1929 in 
6Batavia, Iowa; his parents were Carroll and Roberta Forney; he 
7married B. Marie Kelsey on June 13, 1950 in Iowa; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Richard Forney served in the United States Army 
9during the Korean War and was discharged in 1953; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Richard Forney was a member of the Teamsters and 
11drove a truck for various companies throughout his career; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Richard Forney was an early member of the 
13Riverdale Booster Club; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Richard Forney enjoyed fishing, gardening, and 
15woodworking; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Richard Forney was preceded in death by his 
17parents and his siblings, Roberta Taylor, Betty Sanders, 
18Margaret Gillen, Lorraine Forney, and Robert Forney; and

1    WHEREAS, Richard Forney is survived by his wife, B. Marie 
2Forney; his children, Richard Dean (Kay) Forney and Cheryl 
3(Steve) Reader; his grandchildren, Shawn and Shannon Forney and 
4Chad and Dawn Reader; and his brother, Jack (Helen) Forney; 
5therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
8family and friends, mourn the passing of Richard "Dick" D. 
9Forney; and be it further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to the family of Richard Forney as an expression of 
12our sympathy.
