SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Agnes M. Hess of Woodstock, who passed
4away on August 30, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Agnes Hess was born on July 25, 1931; her parents
6were Martin and Cordella Obenauf; she married Robert E. Hess on
7October 24, 1953 in Huntley; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Agnes Hess was a longtime member of St. Mary
9Catholic Church in Woodstock, where she was very active in
10Bible Study Groups and the Prayer Group; she also attended the
11Woodstock Assembly of God Church; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Agnes Hess enjoyed spending time with her
13grandchildren and great-grandchildren and sharing her famous
14homemade chocolate chip cookies with them; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Agnes Hess was preceded in death by her parents;
16her husband, Robert; and a brother, Martin Obenauf; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Agnes Hess is survived by her children, Pat
18(Terry) Menzel, Jean (Jim) Mackel, Joan (Bill) Jarvis, Bob
19Hess, Peggy Hess, Dan (Janette) Hess, Carol (Chuck) Vitellaro,
20Don (Allison) Hess, Lois (Jeff) Gates, Jim (Stacey) Hess, Janet

1(Steve) Stocks, and Julie (Jim) Brucker; her daughter-in-law,
2Lori Hess; her grandchildren, Mark, Katie, Kelly, Adam, Andy,
3Christopher, Jennifer, Renee, David, Brian, Matt, Tony, Joey,
4Dunn, Kinch, Luke, Rachel, Kyle, Brianna, Melissa, Bradley,
5Ben, Jacob, and Kaley; 15 great-grandchildren; her siblings,
6Mary (Larry) Emricson, Pat Obenauf, Louise (Leroy) Fitzgerald,
7Jerome (Monica) Obenauf, Judy (Dave) Frohling, and Jim (Ammie)
8Obenauf; her sister-in-law, Jackie Obenauf; and numerous
9nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; therefore,
10be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
13family and friends, mourn the passing of Agnes M. Hess; and be
14it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Agnes Hess as an expression of our
17sympathy.
