SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Valeria Bimbi of Lincolnshire, who passed 
4away on October 12, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Valeria Bimbi was born in Cargedolo, Italy to 
6Sergio and Elide (Bette) Romitti on August 25, 1941; she 
7immigrated to the United States at the age of 25 to join her 
8husband, Domenico Bimbi, and they settled in Highwood; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Valeria Bimbi was a seamstress at the Style Shop 
10in Highland Park, and later in her own business; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Valeria Bimbi was affectionately known as 
12"Nonna"; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Valeria Bimbi was preceded in death by her parents 
14and her brother, Alberto (Claudia); and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Valeria Bimbi is survived by her husband,  
16Domenico; her children, Stefano (Beth), Viviana (Steve) 
17Zimmerman, and Cristiano (Joni); and her grandchildren, 
18Stephanie, Dario, and Olivia Bimbi, and Derek, Blake, Briana, 
19and Grant Zimmerman; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Valeria Bimbi, and extend our sincere condolences to her 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Valeria Bimbi as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
