SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Ann C. Skarbalus, formerly of Waukegan, 
4who passed away on September 20, 2016, at the age of 96; and
  
 
  
5    WHEREAS, Ann Skarbalus worked for Jacks Children's 
6Fashions for 20 years, retiring in 1979; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Ann Skarbalus was a former member of both Mother 
8of God Catholic Church and St. Dismas Catholic Church in 
9Waukegan; she was a lifelong member of KSKJ Mother of God, 
10First Catholic Slovak Union, and St. Dismas Women's Club; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Ann Skarbalus was preceded in death by her husband 
12of 53 years, Jack Skarbalus; her sister, Emily Nix; her 
13brother, Joseph Urickan; and her daughter, Patricia Grant; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Ann Skarbalus is survived by her children, Jack 
15(Susan) Skarbalus, and Jeff (Sue-Anne) Skarbalus; her 
16grandchildren, Jodi (Scott) Lindemann, Tracey Helton, 
17Michaelyn (Dustin) Blake, Jaime (Hersh) Date, Robert (Sheri) 
18McLaughlin, Tammy (Jim) Flynn, Dean McLaughlin, Cinnamon 
19Vaughan, and Alisa (Alan) Dutch; 25 great-grandchildren; and 
20four great-great grandchildren; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Ann C. Skarbalus, and extend our sincere condolences to her 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Ann Skarbalus as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
