SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ralph L. O'Brien of Huntley, who passed
4away on September 18, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ralph O'Brien was born on February 19, 1931 in
6Chicago; his parents were Ralph and Mildred O'Brien; he married
7Eileen Marie McHale in 1957; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Ralph O'Brien served in the United States Air
9Force from 1951 to 1955; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Ralph O'Brien worked for Illinois Bell/AT&T for
11many years until his retirement; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Ralph O'Brien enjoyed traveling, Sudoku puzzles,
13and attending his grandchildren's activities; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Ralph O'Brien is preceded in death by his parents
15and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Raymond and Eileen
16McHale; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Ralph O'Brien is survived by his wife, Eileen; his
18children, Kevin (Lou Ann) O'Brien, Terrence O'Brien, Mary
19(John) Smerecky, Wendy (Timothy) Papka, and Kristie (Leonard)

1Scarpelli; his grandchildren, Devin, Tyler, Kevin, Michael,
2Erin, John, Teagan, Jake, Kyle, Francesco, Leonard, Dominic,
3and Anthony; his sisters, Joan Fernandes and Carolyn (Robert)
4Marek; his brother, William O'Brien; and many nieces and
5nephews; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
8family and friends, mourn the passing of Ralph L. O'Brien; and
9be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Ralph O'Brien as an expression of
12our sympathy.
