SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Barbara "Barb" Monti, of Pensacola, 
4Florida, formerly of West Dundee, who passed away on September 
55, 2016; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Barbara Monti was born in Elgin to Darrell and 
7Dorothy West on December 7, 1961; she married Lewis Monti in 
82010; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Barbara Monti was retired from marketing for 
10several major corporations; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Barbara Monti was  a proud United States Navy 
12active-duty veteran; and
  
 
  
13    WHEREAS, Barbara Monti is survived by her husband, Lewis; 
14her son, Matt Carter; her daughter, Michelle Carter; her 
15stepdaughters, Jennifer (Shane) Wolters, and  Rebekah (Bobby) 
16Wyatt; her sisters, Pat (Jay) Jimboy, Pam (Chandler) Swan, 
17Cathy  (Marty) Yanell, Nancy (Hank) Carpenter, Mary (Jeff) 
18Garber, and Susan (John) Johnson;  her brother, Greg (Tina) 
19West; two grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; two 
20step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, 
21and lifelong friends; and her beloved puppy, Halligan;

1therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Barbara "Barb" Monti, and extend our sincere condolences to her 
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to  the family of  Barbara Monti as an expression of 
9our deepest sympathy.
