SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Margaret Frankel May of Waukegan, who
4passed away on October 21, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Margaret May was born on July 22, 1927 in Chicago;
6her parents were Hugo and Catherine Frankel; she married
7Charles M. May on September 8, 1951; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Margaret May was an employee of the Chicago Title
9and Trust Company; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Margaret May was a member of St. Anastasia Church;
11she was a volunteer at St. Anastasia Church and School and
12Carmel High School; she was also president of the Waukegan
13Junior Women's League and a member of Glen Flora Country Club;
14and
 
15    WHEREAS, Margaret May was preceded in death by her husband,
16Charles; her parents; her sister, Loretta Marren; her brother,
17Hugo; an infant sister; her brother-in-law, John Duff; and her
18son-in-law, Wesley Ley; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Margaret May is survived by her children, David
20(Anne), Richard, Maureen (Paul Pennington), Kenneth (Vivian),

1Virginia (Kirk) Dignum, Mary (David) Johnson, Elizabeth
2(Joseph) White, Joseph (Diane), Catherine (Robert) Fenger,
3Anthony, Ellen Ley, Michael (Lisa), John (Lisa), Charles
4(Ellen), and Steven (Jennifer Beltrame); her sister, Catherine
5Duff; her brothers, Robert (Dorothy) Frankel, William (Anita)
6Frankel, Lawrence (Mary) Frankel, and Howard Frankel; and many
7grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and
8cousins; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
11family and friends, mourn the passing of Margaret Frankel May;
12and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Margaret May as an expression of our
15sympathy.
