SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Patricia J. Otten, who passed away on 
4September 21, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Patricia Otten was born on January 8, 1939 in 
6Chicago; her parents were Hillary and Claire O'Leary; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Patricia Otten was a member of St. John Neumann 
8Catholic Church and the Silver Foxes; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Patricia Otten will be fondly remembered by all 
10who knew and loved her as a kind and caring woman; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Patricia Otten was preceded in death by her 
12husband, William, and her parents; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Patricia Otten is survived by her children, Neal 
14(Diane), Steven (Maureen), Terri (Chuck) Novotny, and Deanna 
15(John); her grandchildren, Kristen and Kyle, Zach and Patricia, 
16and Corey, Nick, and Mike Novotny; her sisters, Maureen (James) 
17Novotny and Margaret Barnes; her brother, Dennis O'Leary; and 
18several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
2family and friends, mourn the passing of Patricia J. Otten; and 
3be it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to the family of Patricia Otten as an expression of 
6our sympathy.
