SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Rosemary Myers, who passed away on
4October 28, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rosemary Myers was born to Joseph M. and Josephine
6Hrutka; she graduated from North Chicago Community High School
7and St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Rosemary Myers spent her career as a registered
9nurse, working in several states; she took great joy in
10volunteering at the Gurnee Senior Center during retirement; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Rosemary Myers was an avid tennis player; she
12enjoyed traveling and fashion and loved spending time with her
13family and friends; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Rosemary Myers was preceded in death by her
15parents; her brother-in-law, James Van Dien; and her uncle,
16John Zelenik; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Rosemary Myers is survived by her siblings, Joseph
18M. (Mary Ellen) Hrutka, and Barbara Van Dien; her aunts, Marie
19Zelenik, Irene Kelly, and Mildred (Bert) Foster; her niece,
20Maribeth Van Dien; her nephews, Michael (Laura) Van Dien,

1Joseph P. Hrutka, and Stephen Hrutka; her great-niece, Sawyer
2Belle Van Dien; and many cousins and friends, especially Terry
3Terlap, Beverly Koester, Judy Friedman, and Melinda Green;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Rosemary Myers, and extend our sincere condolences to her
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Rosemary Myers as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
