SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of James Stilling of McHenry, who passed
4away on September 26, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, James Stilling was born in Johnsburg to Benjamin
6and Christina (Meyer) Stilling on December 6, 1926; he married
7Catherine Sullivan in Wonder Lake on November 12, 1949; he
8served in the United States Army during World War II from 1945
9to 1947; and
 
10    WHEREAS, James Stilling worked as a carpenter for George
11Hiller and Son for 45 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, James Stilling enjoyed playing golf and was a Cub
13Scout leader for 10 years; his most precious times were those
14he spent with his family; and
 
15    WHEREAS, James Stilling was preceded in death by his
16grandson, Andrew; his brothers, Raymond, Elmer, Clarence, and
17Daniel; and his sisters, Rita, Violet, and Lucile; and
 
18    WHEREAS, James Stilling is survived by his wife of 67
19years, Catherine; his children, James Jr. (Audrey), David
20(Gina), Kevin, and Thomas; his grandchildren, Joanne (Mike)

1Skibbe, Toby (Linda), Bridget (Lukasz Rozpadek), Jessica
2(Adam), Jeremy, and Mike; his great-grandchildren, Brenden,
3Alex, Ben, Lizzie, Nat, Maggie, Addison, and Jackie; his
4sister, Carol Thompson; and many nieces and nephews; therefore,
5be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8James Stilling, and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of James Stilling as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
