SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of James A. Thiel of Johnsburg, who passed
4away on September 23, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, James Thiel was born in Woodstock to Allan Thiel
6and Betty (Scarbrough) Sieben on April 7, 1962; he served as a
7Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from 1980 to 1987;
8he married Kelly Breit at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church
9in Johnsburg on July 10, 1982; and
 
10    WHEREAS, James Thiel worked for G.W. Thiel, Inc.; and
 
11    WHEREAS, James Thiel enjoyed long, scenic motorcycle rides
12with his wife and friends, and spending time with his family;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, James Thiel was preceded in death by his
15stepfather, Ray Sieben; his mother-in-law, Kathleen Breit; and
16his brother-in-law, Billy Breit; and
 
17    WHEREAS, James Thiel is survived by his wife of 34 years,
18Kelly; his children, Jacob and Danielle; his parents; his
19father-in-law, Bill Breit; his siblings, Ronald (Bonnie)
20Thiel, Patty (Dan) Ullrich, and Linda Sue (Ric) Pelc; his

1brother-in-law, Jake (Lorie) Breit; his sister-in-law, Laura
2(Mike) Hass; his nieces and nephews, Cody, Billy, Kailee,
3Kortnee, Kasidee, Michael, Katie, Amber, Krystal, Elizabeth,
4Erik, Elaine, Richie, and Korissa Lee; as well as many others;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8James A. Thiel, and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of James Thiel as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
