SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Richard E. Taylor Jr. of Woodstock, who
4passed away on September 14, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Taylor Jr. was born in Chicago to Richard
6E. and Wanda (Korytowski) Taylor on November 26, 1945; he
7served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Richard Taylor Jr. was a member of Redeemer
9Lutheran Church in Woodstock; he was a member of VFW Post 5040
10in Woodstock; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Richard Taylor Jr. enjoyed fishing and was a
12Chicago Cubs fan; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Richard Taylor Jr. was preceded in death by his
14parents; his wife, Kathy; and his brother, Robert; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Richard Taylor Jr. is survived by the love of his
16life, Gloria Peetz; his brother, James (Mary) Taylor; his sons,
17Richard III, and Robert; his daughters, Shelly, and Sherry; his
18stepdaughter, Rachel; his grandchildren, Stephen, Stephanie,
19Melody, Emily, Jennifer, Richard IV, Sarah, Ryan, Jenny,
20Nicholas, Tristan, Maddi, and Araya; his great-grandchild,

1Eleanor; his former wife, Phyllis; and many nieces and nephews;
2therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Richard E. Taylor Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to
6his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Richard Taylor Jr. as an expression
10of our deepest sympathy.
