SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Gary J. DiPirro of Marengo, who passed
4away on October 13, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Gary DiPirro was born in Belvidere to Louie and
6Sylvia (Sweet) DiPirro on April 1, 1947; he served in the
7United States Navy from 1966 to 1972; he was an aircraft
8mechanic and received a National Defense Medal; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Gary DiPirro made a career as a cement contractor;
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, Gary DiPirro was preceded in death by his parents,
12and his brothers, Herman, Louis, and Kenneth DiPirro; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Gary DiPirro is survived by his sister, Lana
14(Bill) Schifferer; his sister-in-law, Delores DiPirro; and his
15nieces and nephews, Vickie Volpendesta, Annette (Jim) Fulcher,
16Lena (Scott Altergott) DiPirro, Bill (Patty) Schifferer Jr.,
17Gary Schifferer, Katie (Scott) Anthony, Kenda (Chad Secor)
18Schifferer, Jean Schifferer, Austin DiPirro, Talia Chavez, and
19Jason DiPirro; therefore, be it
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2Gary J. DiPirro, and extend our sincere condolences to his
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
4further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Gary DiPirro as an expression of our
7deepest sympathy.
