SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Albert O. VanPuyvelde of Rock Island, who 
4passed away on November 7, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Albert VanPuyvelde was born in Rock Island to 
6Cyriel and Alexa (VanStenhuyse) VanPuyvelde on June 11, 1922; 
7he married Evelyn Accoe at Christ the King Church in  South 
8Bend, Indiana on May 28, 1949; he served in the United States 
9Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Albert VanPuyvelde worked as a meat cutter at 
11Baecke's IGA for 18 years; he later for the Eagle Country 
12Market for 26 years; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Albert VanPuyvelde was a member of Sacred Heart 
14Church, the  Center for Belgium Culture, and American Legion 
15Post 246 in Moline; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Albert VanPuyvelde was preceded in death by his 
17sister, Irene DeCooman; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Albert VanPuyvelde is survived by his wife, 
19Evelyn, and numerous other family members; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Albert O. VanPuyvelde, and extend our sincere condolences to 
4his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Albert VanPuyvelde as an expression 
8of our deepest sympathy.
