SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of John Honegger of Peoria, who passed away 
4on October 30, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, John Honegger was born in Forrest to Walter and 
6Elizabeth (Moser) Honegger on July 15, 1935; he married Wilma 
7Maurer on August 14, 1954; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, John Honegger worked in sales his entire life, 
9including at Fruehauf Trailer and Jim Hawk Truck Trailers; and
  
 
  
10    WHEREAS, John Honegger enjoyed fishing, playing bridge, 
11mentoring his grandchildren, and visiting with the residents 
12and staff at the Apostolic Christian Skylines Home; he was a 
13member of the Peoria Apostolic Christian Church and served in 
14numerous capacities, including as Sunday School Superintendent 
15and Church Trustee; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, John Honegger is survived by his wife of 62 years, 
17Wilma;  his children, Jill (Bob) Gangloff, Michael (Diane) 
18Honegger, and Gina (Gary) Kempf; his  grandchildren, Jenny 
19(Billy) Schick, Luke (Amanda) Gangloff, Andrew (Rachel) 
20Honegger, Adam (Kimberly) Gangloff, Tyler (Erika) Kempf, Ryan 
21(Keighley) Kempf, Paige (Chase) Reatherford, Dane Kempf, and

1Shannon Kempf (Caleb Brachbill); his great-grandchildren, 
2Willow, Ella, Tate, Camden, Irelyn, Cole, Crew, Abigail, and 
3Lennox; his sister, Donna Leman; and numerous nieces and 
4nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
7John Honegger, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
9further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to  the family of  John Honegger as an expression of 
12our deepest sympathy.
