SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Vivian Marie Johnson-Avery of 
4Springfield, who passed away on November 13, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Vivian Johnson-Avery was born in 1950; and
  
 

  
6    WHEREAS, Vivian Johnson-Avery was a member of St. John AME 
7Church in Springfield; and
  
 
  
8    WHEREAS, Vivian Johnson-Avery is survived by her husband, 
9David Avery; her daughter, Shalanda (Michael) Gaines; her 
10stepdaughters, Jeanne Avery, and Danesha (Carl) Little; her 
11grandchildren, Amir Upshaw, Mychael Gaines, Trinitee Rouse, 
12Jordan Little, and Ariana Little; her sisters, Dorothy 
13(Nathaniel) Gibson, Vickie Johnson, and Charlotte Johnson; her 
14brothers, James (Ruby) Johnson, Charles (Joyce) Johnson, and 
15Robert Johnson; and countless family and friends; therefore, be 
16it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
19Vivian Marie Johnson-Avery, and extend our sincere condolences 
20to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
