SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Hiram Wurf, who passed away on September 
423, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Hiram Wurf was born in New York  on January 30, 
61970 to Helen and Harold Wurf; he was raised by Robert and 
7Jeannine DuBois; he graduated from Rutgers University in New 
8Jersey, and went on to attend graduate school at Northern 
9Illinois University in DeKalb; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Hiram Wurf was passionate about politics and 
11strived to make a social change for people; he is remembered as 
12a lovely soul; and
  
 
  
13    WHEREAS, Hiram Wurf was preceded in death by Helen and 
14Harold Wurf; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Hiram Wurf is survived by his wife, Amy; his 
16children, Megan and Joel; his parents, Robert and Jeannine; his 
17siblings, Avram Wurf, Sophie (Jason) Plante, Dimitrios Hilton, 
18Miriam (Chris Mayer) DuBois, David (Mary Ann Swerdfeger) 
19DuBois, and Jenny (Brian) Kotmel; his aunt, Ruth Wurf; his 
20mother-in-law and father-in-law, Darrell and Kay Erickson; his 
21numerous nieces, nephews, and other family; his dear friends,

1Kunal Pujara, Ajay Israni, Rob Freedman, and Doug Henk; and 
2other friends and colleagues; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Hiram Wurf, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, 
6friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to  the family of  Hiram Wurf as an expression of our 
9deepest sympathy.
