SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Jimmie Dale Spencer of Dorchester, who 
4passed away on November 18, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Jimmie Spencer was born in Kansas City, Missouri 
6to Marvin and  Beulah (Huskey) Spencer on October 7, 1950; he 
7married Sandra Adams in Kansas City on December 31, 1973; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Jimmie Spencer was the  owner and operator of  
9Spencer Trucking and Farms in  Dorchester; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Jimmie Spencer enjoyed Harley-Davidson 
11motorcycles, trucks, the outdoors,  especially snowmobiles, 
12four wheelers, and boats; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Jimmie Spencer was preceded in death by his 
14parents and his grandson, Edmund Peter Thimsen; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Jimmie Spencer is survived by his wife, Sandy; his  
16children, Jennifer (Luther) Thimsen, and Jimmie Spencer Jr.;  
17his stepchildren, Kelley (Alan) Young, and Kristy (Charles) 
18Swearingen; his  grandchildren, Marcus Young, Ashley Young, 
19Joseph Foiles, Gavin Thimsen, Grason Thimsen, Jacob Spencer, 
20and Alex Swearingen; his  siblings, Gloria (Phillip) Johnson,

2Spencer; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Jimmie Dale Spencer, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to  the family of  Jimmie Spencer as an expression of 
10our deepest sympathy.
