SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Thomas A. Fosnot, who passed away on 
4October 6, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Thomas Fosnot was born on April 27, 1940; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Thomas Fosnot was a longtime salesman for York 
7Furrier, where he also served as CFO and Chairman of the Board 
8of Directors for 41 years; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Thomas Fosnot had the "most fabulous corkscrew 
10golf swing in the history of man"; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Thomas Fosnot was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and a 
12lifelong Democrat; he was a true New Deal Democrat; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Thomas Fosnot was husband to Barbara Fosnot; 
14father to Michael, Carol, and Thomas Fosnot; and grandfather to 
15five; therefore, be it
  
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
17ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
18Thomas A. Fosnot, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
19family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
