SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ronald J. Kozlowski of Bolingbrook, who
4passed away on November 28, 2016, at the age of 83; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ronald Kozlowski was born to Aloysius and Francis
6and grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; he graduated from
7Marquette University in 1955 and married Barbara A. Stanioch on
8June 18, 1960; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Ronald Kozlowski and his wife lived in Santa
10Barbara, California; West Allis, Wisconsin; McRae, Georgia;
11and Cicero before settling in Bolingbrook, where they raised
12their six children; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Ronald Kozlowski was an accountant by profession;
14he was employed by Sunbeam, Joanna Western Mills, and Loyola
15University, from where he retired in 1993; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Ronald Kozlowski and his wife have been active
17members of St. Dominic Catholic Parish in Bolingbrook for 47
18years; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Ronald Kozlowski was an avid joke teller; he
20enjoyed fishing, golfing, and studying menus in order to create

1the perfect meal; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Ronald Kozlowski is survived by his wife of 56
3years, Barbara; his children, Mari (Gary) Kmieciak, Linda
4(Greg) Bevolo, Anne Murray, Daniel (Stacie) Kozlowski,
5Elizabeth (John) Rice, and Steven (Kristin) Kozlowski; his
6grandchildren, Lauren (Brian) Beaird, Nicole Kmieciak, Keeley
7Kmieciak, Lia Kmieciak, Brent Bevolo, Torrie (Nick) Masters,
8Peter (Samantha) Murray, Nick Murray, Ryan Murray, Emma (Max)
9Warren, Mitch Murray, Maribeth Murray, Melaura Rice, Eric Rice,
10Aaron Rice, Ella Kozlowski, Jack Kozlowski, Helen Kozlowski,
11Warren Kozlowski, and Edison Kozlowski; his great-grandchild,
12Amelia Murray; his brothers, Jim (Pattie) Kozlowski, and
13Michael (Carol) Kozlowski; his sister-in-law, Kathy (Pete)
14Geffers; and his nieces and nephews, Jimmy, Kris, Karin,
15Michelle, Kathy, Jeff, Scott, Mike, Jill, Jennifer, Susan, and
16Sarah, along with their spouses and children; therefore, be it
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
19Ronald J. Kozlowski, and extend our sincere condolences to his
20family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
21further
 
22    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
23presented to the family of Ronald Kozlowski as an expression of
