SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Kenneth Beasley of South Roxana, who 
4passed away on October 16, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Kenneth Beasley was born in St. Louis, Missouri to 
6Sam and Norma Jean (Harbin) McClure on November 19, 1946; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Kenneth Beasley worked as a concrete finisher out 
8of Cement and Masons Local #90 for 30 years; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Kenneth Beasley was currently serving his fourth 
10term in office as Mayor for the Village of South Roxana; prior 
11to his election, he served the Village as Building and Zoning 
12Inspector and was a trustee for the South Roxana Fire 
13Protection District; he also served as a reserve police officer 
14for the Village, and co-owned "Debbie's Market"; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Kenneth Beasley was preceded in death by his 
16parents and his daughter, Kimberly McClure; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Kenneth Beasley is survived by his wife of 35 
18years, Deborah (Blankenship); his sons, Brit Beasley, Chris 
19(Jenny) Williams, Kevin Beasley, David (Jen) Davis, and Donnie 
20(Tiffany) Davis; his daughter, Renee Reader; 17 grandchildren;

1and four great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Kenneth Beasley, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to  the family of  Kenneth Beasley as an expression of 
9our deepest sympathy.
