SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Robert L. Flemming of Sawyerville, who 
4passed away on December 8, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Flemming was born in Staunton to William 
6and Nettie (Schmutzler) Flemming on December 31, 1925; he 
7served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II and 
8married Delores E. DeArmand on January 18, 1947; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Robert Flemming worked as a tool and  die maker for 
10Echlin Manufacturing in Litchfield; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Robert Flemming was a member of the Staunton 
12Sportsmans Club; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Robert Flemming was preceded in death by his wife, 
14Delores; his parents; his son, Thomas Flemming; his brother, 
15Wilbert Flemming; and his sister, Lovace Lemke; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Robert Flemming is survived by his companion, 
17Phyllis Spurney; his sons, James (Kathy) and Robert (Barbara) 
18Flemming; and several grandchildren,  great-grandchildren, 
19nieces, and nephews; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Robert L. Flemming, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Robert Flemming as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
