SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Michael Lee Humphries of Milan, who 
4passed away on December 14, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Humphries was born in Rock Island to 
6William and Helen Gannon Humphries on December 30, 1942; he 
7served in the United States  Army and Navy during the Vietnam 
8War; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Michael Humphries worked out of Laborers' Local 
10309 in  Rock Island; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Michael Humphries enjoyed golfing at Indian Bluff 
12Golf Course and drinking coffee at the Milan Maid Rite with his 
13buddies; he adored his grandchildren; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Michael Humphries was preceded in death by his 
15father, William, and his very special aunt, Almeta Math; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Michael Humphries is survived by his mother, Helen 
17Gannon; his sons, Kristin (Amy) and Jason Humphries; his 
18grandchildren, Brennah, Joseph, Samuel, Haley, and Noah; his  
19sister, Kay McNamee; his cousins, whom he considered his 
20brothers, Dr. David, Mike, and Steve Gannon; and his best

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Michael Lee Humphries, and extend our sincere condolences to 
5his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to  the family of  Michael Humphries as an expression 
9of our deepest sympathy.
