SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of David L. Sharpe of Rock Island, who 
4passed away on December 13, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, David Sharpe was born in La Belle, Missouri to  
6John and Sarah Shoemaker Sharpe on January 11, 1925; he served 
7in the United States Army during World War II and married 
8Frances "Jerry" G. Bragg in Canton, Missouri on August 5, 1949; 
9and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, David Sharpe was employed at John Deere Plow & 
11Planter in  Moline for over 38 years, retiring in 1987; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, David Sharpe and his wife enjoyed traveling and 
13working in their beautiful flowerbeds together; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, David Sharpe was preceded in death by his parents; 
15his wife, Frances; and his brothers, Carl, Robert, Donald, and 
16James Sr.; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, David Sharpe is survived by his niece, Kay Trask, 
18and  his nephews, Kevin (Diane), James Jr. (Marlo), and John 
19(Lyn); therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3David L. Sharpe, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  David Sharpe as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
