| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Paul R. Vyncke of East Moline, who passed |
| 4 | | away on December 23, 2016; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Paul Vyncke was born in East Moline to Richard and |
| 6 | | Genevieve Schulte Vyncke on December 26, 1925; he graduated |
| 7 | | from United Township High School; he served in the United |
| 8 | | States Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict; he |
| 9 | | married Marlowe Techlin on June 26, 1948 and was a civilian |
| 10 | | weapons repairman during the Vietnam War; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Paul Vyncke worked for the Army Weapons Command at |
| 12 | | the Rock Island Arsenal; he later retired from PECO Enterprises |
| 13 | | in Davenport, Iowa; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Paul Vyncke was a diehard fan of the Chicago Cubs |
| 15 | | and was thrilled to see them finally win the World Series; he |
| 16 | | loved to sing and enjoyed playing video poker at the casinos; |
| 17 | | he was a devoted father and grandfather and was proud of the |
| 18 | | fact that he had built summer homes in Minnesota and Arkansas |
| 19 | | for his family to enjoy; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Paul Vyncke was preceded in death by his wife, |
| 21 | | Marlowe; his daughter, Lori; his parents; his brothers, Leo and |
