SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Edward "Eddie" Pieroni of McHenry, who
4passed away on November 20, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Edward Pieroni was born in Chicago to Ernest and
6Theresa (Peccioli) Pieroni on December 13, 1924; he served in
7the United States Navy during World War II; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Edward Pieroni and his brothers, Ray and Junior,
9ran the family restaurant and bar, Bimbo's, for over 38 years;
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, Edward Pieroni was a lifetime member of VFW Post
124600, and a member of the Military Order of the Cootie of the
13US Rakkasan Pup Tent #79 in Woodstock; he was also a lifetime
14member of the American Legion #491; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Edward Pieroni was active with the Riverside
16Athletic Social Club, which raised and donated money for
17multiple charities; the Pieroni brothers were honored as parade
18marshals for the Annual Fiesta Days in McHenry; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Edward Pieroni was preceded in death by his
20parents; his wife of 24 years, Janice (Justen) Pieroni; and his

1brothers, Raymond and Ernest "Junior" Pieroni; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Edward Pieroni is survived by his daughters, Patty
3Smith, Roxanne (Darrell) Koewler, and Mary Jean (Jay) Sanders;
4his grandchildren, Nolan Koewler, Claire, Jeffrey, and Rebecca
5Sanders; his great-grandchildren, Jessica and Kaitlynn
6Koewler; his sister, Diana (Chuck) Tonyan; and six nieces and
7five nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Edward "Eddie" Pieroni, and extend our sincere condolences to
11his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Edward Pieroni as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
