SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Mark Harold Reddel of McHenry, who passed
4away on November 8, 2016 at the age of 67; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mark Reddel was born in Columbus, Nebraska to
6Walter Julius and Friedora Regina (Sorge) Reddel on May 4,
71949; he married Martha B. "Marti" Swanson at the Community
8Church of Richmond on March 22, 2015; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Mark Reddel earned his bachelor's degree from
10Concordia College in River Forest; he also earned post-graduate
11hours from the University of Minnesota and Central Michigan
12University; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Mark Reddel taught and coached at St. Martin's
14Lutheran School in Clintonville, Wisconsin, Trinity Lutheran
15School in Springfield, St. Lorenz Lutheran School in
16Frankenmuth, Michigan, and Immanuel Lutheran School in Dundee;
17and
 
18    WHEREAS, Mark Reddel and his wife enjoyed singing in the
19church choir together; he also enjoyed fishing, and he loved
20living in their five-acre Ringwood "natural yard."; and

1    WHEREAS, Mark Reddel was preceded in death by his parents;
2and
 
3    WHEREAS, Mark Reddel is survived by his wife, Marti; his
4sons, Phillip Andrew (Kim), Allan John (Julia), and Daniel
5James; four grandchildren, John, James, Peter, and Kate Reddel;
6his siblings, Gen. Carl (Colette) Reddel, Chaplain Eugene
7(Miriam) Reddel, Karen Faye (Richard) Luebbe, Mary Lou (Ron)
8Wagoner, and Stan (Paulette) Reddel; and his many nieces and
9nephews; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
12family and friends, mourn the passing of Mark Harold Reddel,
13and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and
14all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Mark Reddel as an expression of our
17deepest sympathy.
