SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Michael "Larry" Klugman of Decatur, who 
4passed away on December 27, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Klugman was born in Champaign to Samuel W. 
6and Edna F. (Logue) Klugman on April 15, 1942; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Michael Klugman was a founding faculty member at 
8Richland Community College, where he was Professor Emeritus and 
9an adjunct professor; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Michael Klugman served his community in many 
11different service clubs and organizations, including as past 
12President of the Decatur Celebration; he lectured regarding 
13national and local political races as well as his favorite 
14subject, the Titanic; he was a proud member of "The Romeo Club" 
15and enjoyed spending his time with his many friends and 
16associates; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Michael Klugman was preceded in death by his 
18parents; his  infant brother, Joe Allen Klugman; and his aunt, 
19Lola Farley; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Michael Klugman is survived by many cousins; the

1Steve and Linda Wrigley/Hotwick family; the Dr. Larry and Nancy 
2Osborne family;  and the Lance and Ann Lercher family; 
3therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Michael "Larry" Klugman, and extend our sincere condolences to 
7his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to  the family of  Michael Klugman as an expression of 
11our deepest sympathy.
