| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Philip M. Duffin Sr. of Naperville, who |
| 4 | | passed away on December 22, 2016, at the age of 72; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Philip Duffin Sr. retired after 32 years of |
| 6 | | service as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for the State |
| 7 | | of Illinois; he retired in 2012 as a bus driver for Joliet |
| 8 | | Township High School after eight years; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Philip Duffin Sr. was a dedicated parishioner at |
| 10 | | St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Joliet, where he was a |
| 11 | | Lector at Sunday Mass, a Eucharistic Minister, delivering |
| 12 | | Communion to the elderly and sick, and a Religious Education |
| 13 | | Teacher; his memberships included the school board, the Rite of |
| 14 | | Christian Initiation of Adults, and the Light of the World |
| 15 | | Prayer Group; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Philip Duffin Sr. was preceded in death by his |
| 17 | | parents, John and Martha Duffin, and his cousin, Raymond Dean |
| 18 | | Guinto; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Philip Duffin Sr. is survived by his wife, Janet |
| 20 | | (Peterek) Duffin; his children, Jennifer (Frank) Reyes, Philip |
| 21 | | M. (Julie) Duffin Jr., Marie Duffin (Kim Knowles), and Ann |
