SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Phyllis M. Rimbey of Jacksonville, who
4passed away on January 7, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Phyllis Rimbey was born in Jerseyville to Omer and
6Leavetta (Taapkin) Erdman on February 28, 1929; she married
7Robert Flynn, and later, Clarence Rimbey; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Phyllis Rimbey was employed at the General
9Telephone Company as an operator for many years; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Phyllis Rimbey was an active member of the
11Jacksonville Emblem Club and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary; she
12enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and
13great-grandchildren; she also enjoyed shopping and loved every
14cat she met; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Phyllis Rimbey was preceded in death by her
16husbands, Robert and Clarence, and her son, Rick Flynn; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Phyllis Rimbey is survived by her sons, Ed (Mary)
18Flynn, and Bill Flynn; her grandchildren, Leah (Jacob) Krueger,
19Patrick Flynn, Kevin Flynn, Erin Flynn, Heather (Brandon)
20Miller, Katie Flynn, and Tyler Flynn (Katie Semick); her

1great-grandchildren, Elise Krueger, and Taylor Miller; her
2sister, Ellyn Kay (Jim) Cope; several nieces and nephews; and
3her daughter-in-law, Teresa; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Phyllis M. Rimbey, and extend our sincere condolences to her
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Phyllis Rimbey as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
