SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Donald Dorge of Lake Forest, who passed 
4away on December 17, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Donald Dorge was born on September 28, 1926 and 
6grew up in Chicago; he graduated from the University of Kansas; 
7and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Donald Dorge owned the Climate Control 
9Corporation until retiring in the early 1980s; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Donald Dorge enjoyed golf, tennis, badminton, 
11paddle tennis, bridge, and spending time with family and 
12friends; he also enjoyed traveling and escaping to Florida in 
13the winter; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Donald Dorge was preceded in death by his wife of 
1562 years, Bette,  and his daughters, Carol (Michael Coan) and 
16Kim; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Donald Dorge is survived by his daughters, Pam 
18(George) Russell, and Pat (Dick) Schmidt; his grandchildren, 
19Matt, Eric, Marshall, Charles, and Catherine; and his sister, 
20Dorothy Knitter; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Donald Dorge, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, 
4friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to  the family of  Donald Dorge as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
