Minutes Clerk Jennifer Timms led the House in the Pledge of
Allegiance.
TEMPORARY COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS
The Speaker announced the following temporary committee
assignments:
Representative Klingler replaced Representative O'Connor,
Representative Meyer replaced Representative Righter, and
Representative Stephens replaced Representative O'Connor in the
Committee on Tobacco Settlement Proceeds Distribution on August 18,
1999.
Representative Currie replaced Representative Fowler in the
Committee on Elementary & Secondary Education on August 27, 1999.
Representative Hassert replaced Representative Coulson in the
Committee on Registration & Regulation on August 18, 1999.
INTRODUCTION AND FIRST READING OF BILLS
The following bills were introduced, read by title a first time,
ordered printed and placed in the Committee on Rules:
HOUSE BILL 2883. Introduced by Representative Madigan, a bill
for AN ACT to amend the Illinois Vehicle Code by changing Section
6-206.
HOUSE BILL 2884. Introduced by Representative Franks, a bill for
AN ACT in relation to gambling, amending certain named Acts.
HOUSE BILL 2885. Introduced by Representative Poe, a bill for AN
HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES 7813
ACT to amend the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois by changing
Section 205-15.
HOUSE BILL 2886. Introduced by Representative O'Brien, a bill
for AN ACT to amend the School Code by changing Section 29-6.1.
HOUSE BILL 2887. Introduced by Representatives Silva -
Feigenholtz - Delgado, a bill for AN ACT to amend the Public
Utilities Act by changing Section 16-125.
HOUSE BILL 2888. Introduced by Representative Bill Mitchell, a
bill for AN ACT to amend the Criminal Code of 1961 by changing
Sections 3-5 and 3-6.
HOUSE BILL 2889. Introduced by Representative Righter, a bill
for AN ACT to amend the Illinois Vehicle Code by changing Sections
12-210 and 12-215.
At the hour of 11:15 o'clock a.m., Representative Poe moved that
the House do now adjourn.
The motion prevailed.
And in accordance therewith and pursuant to HOUSE JOINT
RESOLUTION 30, the House stood adjourned until Wednesday, October 6,
1999.
