The House met pursuant to adjournment.
The Speaker in the Chair.
Prayer by Reverend Walter Carlson with the First United Methodist
Church in Pana, Illinois.
Representative Hassert led the House in the Pledge of Allegiance.
By direction of the Speaker, a roll call was taken to ascertain the
attendance of Members, as follows:

A message from the Senate by
Mr. Harry, Secretary:
Mr. Speaker -- I am directed to inform the House of Representatives
that the Senate has adopted the following Senate Joint Resolution, in
the adoption of which I am instructed to ask the concurrence of the
House of Representatives, to-wit:
SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 1
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING HEREIN,
that when the two Houses adjourn on Thursday, January 11, 2001, the
Senate stands adjourned until Wednesday, January 31, 2001, at 11:30
o'clock a.m.; and the House of Representatives stands adjourned until
Tuesday, January 30, 2001, at 1:00 o'clock p.m.; and when it adjourns
on that day, it stands adjourned until Wednesday, January 31, 2001, at
11:30 o'clock a.m.

The foregoing message from the Senate reporting their adoption of
Senate Joint Resolution 1 was taken up for immediate consideration.
Representative Currie moved the adoption of the resolution.
The motion prevailed and SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 1 was adopted.
Ordered that the Clerk inform the Senate.
At the hour of 10:40 o'clock a.m., Representative Currie moved that
the House do now adjourn.
The motion prevailed.
And in accordance therewith and pursuant to SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION
1, the House stood adjourned until Tuesday, January 30, 2001, at 1:00
o'clock p.m.
