Biography: Full-time state legislator; Community Outreach Organizer assisting the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in the Southwest Side of Chicago; B.A. in International Relations from Roosevelt University, active Auxiliary Board Member for the National Museum of Mexican Art; first woman and Latina woman to represent the 22nd district of the Illinois General Assembly; daughter of immigrant parents from the state of Puebla, Mexico raised in Little Village and later the Chicago/West Lawn area for over 30 years; proud graduate of Hubbard High School currently located in the 22nd district; married wife and mother of two daughters.
