    Amends the Communicable Disease Prevention Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the authority of the Department of Public Health to pay for health insurance coverage on behalf of HIV-infected persons.

1    AN ACT concerning health.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Communicable Disease Prevention Act is
5amended by changing Section 2d as follows:
 
6    (410 ILCS 315/2d)
7    Sec. 2d. The The Illinois Department of Public Health may
8pay for health insurance coverage with funds appropriated for
9this purpose on behalf of persons who are infected with the
10human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and are eligible for
11"continuation coverage" as provided by the federal
12Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 or group
13health insurance policies. The Illinois Department of Public
14Health shall adopt rules to establish income eligibility
15requirements for participation in this health insurance
16coverage program. The Illinois Department of Public Health
17shall also adopt rules and regulations to administer this
18program that are in compliance with the requirements of the
19federal Ryan White Comprehensive AIDS Resources Emergency Act
20of 1990.
