| 5 | | offers any lease that is automatically renewable with each |
| 6 | | payment after the initial period and that permits the consumer |
| 7 | | to become the owner of the merchandise."; and

| 8 | | by replacing page 2 with the following:

| 9 | | "Section 20. Action for damages. A person who suffers |
| 10 | | damages caused by a merchant's violation of this Act and |
| 11 | | reports the presence of a pest to the merchant within 45 days |
| 12 | | after the beginning of the rental may bring an action pursuant |
| 13 | | to Section 10a of the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business |
| 14 | | Practices Act under the standards applicable to the holder of a |
| 15 | | retail installment contract.".
