SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
745 ILCS 49/66 new

    Amends the Good Samaritan Act. Provides that a person who in good faith and without fee administers epinephrine to another person who is suffering from a severe allergic reaction shall not be liable for civil damages as a result of his or her acts or omissions, except for willful or wanton misconduct on the part of the person in administering the epinephrine.

1    AN ACT concerning civil law.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Good Samaritan Act is amended by adding
5Section 66 as follows:
 
6    (745 ILCS 49/66 new)
7    Sec. 66. Epinephrine administration. A person who in good
8faith and without fee administers epinephrine to another person
9who is suffering from a severe allergic reaction shall not be
10liable for civil damages as a result of his or her acts or
11omissions, except for willful or wanton misconduct on the part
12of the person in administering the epinephrine.
