Amends the School Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning
the School Code's
construction.
Effective immediately, but this Act does not take effect at all unless Senate Bills 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 of the 100th General Assembly become law. |

|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The School Code is amended by changing Section |
| 5 | | 1-2 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (105 ILCS 5/1-2) (from Ch. 122, par. 1-2)
|
| 7 | | Sec. 1-2. Construction. The The provisions of this Act, so |
| 8 | | far as they are the same as those of any
prior statute, shall |
| 9 | | be construed as a continuation of such prior
provisions, and |
| 10 | | not as a new enactment.
|
| 11 | | If in any other statute reference is made to an Act of the |
| 12 | | General
Assembly, or a section of such an Act, which is |
| 13 | | continued in this School
Code, such reference shall be held to |
| 14 | | refer to the Act or section thereof
so continued in this Code.
