SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of William L. Byles of East Moline, who
4passed away on January 2, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, William Byles was born in Savanna to Willie and
6Dorothy Walker Byles on May 1, 1933; he married Doris Moore on
7January 4, 1955; he later married Doris Zentz at St. John's
8Lutheran Church on May 2, 1987; and
 
9    WHEREAS, William Byles served his country in the United
10States Army; he retired from John Deere Harvester as a combine
11repairman in 1988; and
 
12    WHEREAS, William Byles was an active member of St. John's
13Lutheran Church and served as an elder; he served on the board
14for Deere Harvester Credit Union from 1972 until 1988; and he
15enjoyed fishing and was a great family man; and
 
16    WHEREAS, William Byles was preceded in death by his first
17wife, Doris Moore; his son, William, and a granddaughter; and
 
18    WHEREAS, William Byles is survived by his daughter, Kimmila
19(Ken) Nelson; his stepdaughters, Deana White, Patti (Steve)
20Rea, and Jeri (Jerry) Clark; his daughter-in-law, Kathleen

1Bucher; his 19 grandchildren; his numerous
2great-grandchildren; and his sister, Sharon Snyder; therefore,
3be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
6family and friends, mourn the passing of William L. Byles, and
7extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all
8who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of William Byles as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
