SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Alonzo Homer Kenniebrew of Moline, who
4passed on January 9, 2017, at the age of 84; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Alonzo Kenniebrew was born in Evanston to Jessie
6Mae Schultz Kenniebrew and Dr. Alonzo Homer Kenniebrew on
7January 30, 1932; he was a star athlete at Springfield High
8School and Carthage College, and a veteran of the United States
9Army; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Alonzo Kenniebrew worked in the field of medical
11research; he later worked in nursing home administration and
12subsequently with Aflac; he spent most of his career in the
13Chicago area; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Alonzo Kenniebrew was preceded in death by his
15parents and a half-sister; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Alonzo Kenniebrew is survived by his spouse,
17Bonnie Rose Wainwright Kenniebrew; his three daughters; one
18stepson; eight grandchildren; four great-grandsons; his
19sister; and a former spouse; therefore, be it
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
2family and friends, mourn the passing of Alonzo Homer
3Kenniebrew, and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
4friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Alonzo Kenniebrew as an expression
7of our deepest sympathy.
