SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Denton James "Red" Danielson of Port
4Byron, who passed away on April 11, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Denton Danielson was born in Sioux Falls, South
6Dakota to E. Kenneth and Myrtle (Hansen) Danielson on March 5,
71946; he graduated from Riverdale High School in 1964 and
8served in the United States Air Force in Vietnam; he married
9Brigitte K. Neu in April of 1974; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Denton Danielson was a machinist; he started
11working with Rock Island Lines, and then with the Iowa
12Interstate Railroad in Iowa City, Iowa, retiring in 2006; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Denton Danielson loved being outdoors, golfing,
14and taking care of his yard; he liked old cars and old western
15movies; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Denton Danielson was preceded in death by his
17father, Kenneth, and his brother, Marvin; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Denton Danielson is survived by his mother,
19Myrtle; his wife, Brigitte; his children, Tina (Gary) Quick,
20Tom Danielson, and Stephanie (Deric) Schradeya; his siblings,

1Mary Jo (Jim) Doud, Richard "Whitey" (Terry) Danielson, Elaine
2(Carrol) Foster, and Lois Retzl; his grandchildren, Andrew
3Danielson, Keith and Lakin Quick, and Jacob, Henry, and Charlie
4Schradeya; and his great-grandson, Evan; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Denton James "Red" Danielson, and extend our sincere
8condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
9him; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Denton Danielson as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
