SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Raymond A. "Ray" Aud of Wood River, who
4passed away on July 3, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Raymond Aud was born in Evansville, Indiana to
6Arthur and Beulah (Peerman) Aud on April 9, 1925; he served in
7the United States Army during World War II and married Ruby
8Patton in Olney on June 19, 1946; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Raymond Aud was employed as a foreman at the Olin
10Corporation for 32 years prior to his retirement; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Raymond Aud was the longest living member of
12Cottage Hills VFW Post #7678; he enjoyed fishing, camping,
13gardening, and was very meticulous about his yard; he enjoyed
14spending time at the Alton Belle Casino, loved to spend time
15with his family, and enjoyed writing songs; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Raymond Aud was preceded in death by his parents;
17his grandson, Ryan Aud; and by his siblings; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Raymond Aud is survived by his wife, Ruby; his
19daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy and Rick Calame and Karen and
20Gene Welton; his son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Nancy Aud;

1his grandchildren and their spouses, Trina and Tyler Behr,
2Rachelle and Jim Crowe, Brad and Amy Welton, Casey and Kirsten
3Calame, Zane Aud, and Mazey Aud; his great-grandchildren, Drew,
4Ryan, Brynn, and Cooper; and an expected great-grandchild;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Raymond A. "Ray" Aud, and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Raymond Aud as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
